'VISITORS' - THE ARTS CLUB EXHIBITION AT THIS YEAR'S E17 ART TRAIL
To respond to the theme of this year's Art Trail, "Welcome to Walthamstow", the Arts Club is inviting artists from other places in London / Britain / Europe / the World to join us for an exhibition we will present during the trail in the gardens of the Vestry House Museum. The brief to them is to send a postable, weatherproof sculpture of a person / creature / animal / other that represents the artist as a "visitor" to the Art Trail.
Please advertise our project to other creative souls you know elsewhere in the world by sending them the link below to the project webpage - we already have participations from Spain, Portugal, Germany and the US and we hope to be able to add many more countries. The idea behind this exhibition is to create some bridges to artists elsewhere in the world in a lighthearted and fun way. We can obviously build on those bridges for future shows/trails.
Arts Clubs in Germany and Portugal have expressed interest in hosting the Visitors after they have been exhibited in Walthamstow. So Arts Club members who wish to participate in this exhibition should also respond to the same brief. So in the spirit of Eugenio Dittborn make you Visitor postable!

ARTS ON THE GREEN - an opportunity for local artists
This one is slightly outside the borough, Newington Green in Hackney
A new gallery venture on Newington Green is looking for local artists to showcase their work. The exhibition space is in the rear part of the Trattoria Sapori by the Inland China Mission building. The proprietor is keen to attract artists including painters, sculptors and printmakers, and is aiming for one or two person shows beginning at the end of March this year.
You are invited to submit your work for consideration. Please send photos / website links to abwoman1@gmail.com . Please indicate the sizes of your work and prices. A brief (one paragraph) cv would also be useful. We look forward to hearing from you.

LEYTONSTONE ARTS TRAIL - July 23rd - August 1st

The Arts Club would dearly love a volunteer to organise an Arts Club exhibition in the trail so please step forward if you ahve the time and can make the most of this great opportunity.
